Frequently asked questions
Answers about the Atlas, country positions, sources and public access.
What is DiplomAtlas?
DiplomAtlas is a public editorial atlas for exploring country positions, country dossiers and validated diplomatic news related to the Sahara issue.
What do P1–P11 mean?
P1–P11 are editorial categories used consistently across the globe, flat map, search results, country summaries and gauges. The legend in the Atlas explains each category.
Where do public positions come from?
Published positions are linked to identifiable sources and pass through the editorial workflow before appearing in the public Atlas. Drafts and internal monitoring notes are not exposed publicly.
Can I search without accents or in another supported language?
Yes. Atlas search ignores accents and can match country names across English, French, Spanish and Arabic, so searches such as “algerie”, “jamaique” or “Morocco” remain usable in a French interface.
Can I use both the globe and the flat map?
Yes. Both views use the same filters and published data. Changing a continent filter does not force you to leave the view you selected.
Does the Atlas work on mobile?
Yes. Position and continent filters can be scrolled horizontally, map controls support touch, and form fields use a mobile-safe text size to prevent the automatic iPhone zoom on focus.
How do I read a country dossier?
Select a country from the map or list. The summary shows the published position and gauge; the country dossier provides contextual sections, sources and related published news when available.
How can I report a question or correction?
Use the Contact page. The form sends your message to the DiplomAtlas project mailbox and lets you provide an email address for a reply.
